    If you want to get out early and meet your fellow campers over a great Pot Luck dinner, bring a passing dish. Plenty of food and lots of good talk.

    Blast-off Weekend

    First official camping weekend of the 2019 camping season. All amenities will be up and running. Enjoy FREE hot dogs, some-mores, and a sing-along around the campfire by the Song Shed.

    Giant Yard Sale & Vendor Fair

    9am to 2pm. Yard sale tables are free to campers; $10 for non-campers; $25/outdoor space for vendors, $35/covered vendor space. Advertised widely. Admission FREE to the public. More than 3,000 people attended last year!!

    2nd Annual Battle of the Bands

    with a twist ***in honor of Leanna Davis. Rick Davis will scramble players and create new bands to compete in a Battle of the Bands Jam Session contest. It’s a fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation, so come out and donate $10 for a fun-filled day of great music, food, drink and vendors. ***

    50% discount for Active Duty Military and 25% off for Vets. Put out your American flags and show support for our troops. Fun in the evening with an Armed Forces Dance with live music.

    Memorial Day Weekend

    (3-day minimum, no discounts.) Games, hayrides, face painting, horseshoe tournaments and entertainment. Fire truck rides Sat & Sun. LIVE BAND Saturday night; DJ music Sunday too. Annual Corn Hole Tournament to raise funds for wounded soldiers. $20 per entrant, $40/team. Half of the $ goes to the winning team, the other half goes to the charity!

    The Annual Float-the-Lake and Beach Party

    Jump on our lake trampoline, rock the rock-it, climb the giant ice berg, or bring your own raft, craft, or inner tube and join the fun. Make and float your own boat. We also have two beautiful sandy beaches if you just want to watch. Then try the limbo stick and dance to Billy and the Back Beats all evening.

    MAGStock

    *** will be returning to Small Country for the ninth year! Join with your friends or make some new ones while celebrating video games and attending live concerts throughout the weekend. Registration opens in early January at magstock.org.

    Tour The Battlefield

    of America’s largest all-cavalry Civil War skirmish right here in our own back yard. Trevilian Station Battlefield offers 10 stops with historic and panoramic views by a professional guide. Provide your own vehicle or ride the bus and bring drinks and eats…this will be a fun day.

    Small Country RV Show and Demonstrations

    Open to the public and campers, this will showcase some of the newest and finest campers. And experts will demonstrate some of the new innovations as well as old tricks for campers.

    Music Under The Stars

    (or in the Pavilion). Dance to a live band that harkens back to the 1950s through 70s…good old dance music that won’t let you down. Bring that old Poodle skirt or letter sweater and enjoy the best of the best. Dance to Billy and the Backbeats.

    Independence Day Week

    Horseshoes, corn hole and other tournaments, fire truck rides every day, “HEY” rides too, LIVE BAND Saturday night. Plus all the fun things we do…face painting, Water Wars, FREE mini golf, and more.

    Let the water wars begin in earnest. Get your team together and prepare to do battle. Wear your swimming suits because YOU WILL GET WET. A pool party will follow with music and light sticks.

    Small Country’s Amateur Mini-Golf Tournament

    on the beautiful 18-hole Small Country championship mini golf course. Contest ages range from kids 6-10 to elderly.

    Wizards in the Woods

    A nerdy weekend to celebrate our favorite teenage wizards. Join us for a sorting ceremony Friday. Vendors, crafts, games and more all day Saturday. Quidditch Demonstrations and Trivia on Saturday night. And of course, movie marathon all weekend long.

    Christmas in August Christmas Party

    Santa will visit! Snacks and drinks for all. Please bring gifts for needy children wrapped and marked by age and sex to be distributed by the Santa Council of Louisa. Money donations are always welcome. Join us for a Christmas party with snacks and dance music.

    Arcade Weekend

    Show your skills at our first annual games-playing contest in our newly-revamped arcade. There is pool and pinball and a myriad of electronic games.

    Mardi Gras & Jazz

    Help decorate the wagon and the fire truck and join the parade. Music Saturday night.

    Kick Back and Relax

    it’s the last weekend of summer. No pressure, no sweat…most of the kids are anxious to be out of school for the weekend retreat. Dinner at Los Tres Potrillos on your own if you care to join the Smalls at the greatest Mexican restaurant in the East.

    Labor Day Extravaganza

    (3-night minimum; no discounts). Live music Saturday night. Horseshoe and corn hole contests, hayrides, pool parties, kids contests, float-thelake, and enjoy the last days of summer.

    Liberty Park Fall Music Festival

    Beer, wine, food, vendors, and music, music, music. We present great bands. Open to the public for a $10 donation per person. Food and drink vendors will offer a wide variety of products. Proceeds go to Small Country Children’s Foundation.

    Backyard Games Tournament and Fish Fry

    Dig into the best fish this side of Heaven, along with hush puppies, beans and the works. Cheer on the children as they do sack races, tug-a-war, hula hoop contests. Adult tournaments: corn hole, horseshoes, & ladder ball.

    Remote Control Weekend

    Bring your drone, airplane, boat or car and have a great time in our new Liberty Park. Big kids are invited too.

    QUE & CRUZ Barbeque Competition, Car Show & Fall Festival

    Live Music, plenty of great barbeque and other foods, and lots of great vendors. Antique car and truck show. Enjoy the giant bouncing pillow, the lake trampoline and rock-it, and the miniature golf course, water wars, ride on the fire truck. $10 for guests over 10 years of age.     LEAF WALKS/LEAF TALKS

    Experience Virginia’s Fall colors with scouts who will share expertise about the trees and the leaves and migration and more. A true outdoor camping experience!

    Painted Rock Hunt

    You have seen them around, but collecting them is another matter. We have scores of young painters who have really done a job painting rocks and hiding them around the campground. See who can find the most…and re-hide them too.

  • 10/26

    HALLOWEEN

    A whole day of Halloween games and crafts, trick-or-treating around the campground at 4 pm, costume judging and selection of the best decorated Halloween campsites at 5 pm. The hayrides through the Haunted Woods will be from 6 to 9 pm, weather permitting. A Halloween costume party and dance will be from 8:00 until 10:30 pm. Outside guests are welcome at $15 for folks 10 and up FREE for kids under 10.
